Kalkan Webcams PDF Print E-mail
Sunday, 01 March 2009

Kalkan WebcamKalkan Turkish Local News has four webcams.  The first, and original webcam provides high level views over Kalkan Bay, and the second webcam, launched in July 2009, is located at the Mavi Bilgisayar office, on the second floor of the old Belediye building, on Mustafa Kocakaya Caddesi.  In October 2009, we introduced camera No 3, showing great views of Kalamar Bay.  And in June 2010 we switched on our fourth, and final webcam, hosted by Coast @ Gironda, in the heart of the old town.

Our live webcams stream jpeg images from Kalkan to our server here in the UK.  Very occasionally there may be temporary breaks in service due to either prolonged power outages or problems with internet connectivity.

As registered members of KTLN you have access to our webcams in four ways:

  • Webcam Browser – Accessed by clicking on the Kalkan Bay webcam image on the top right of the home page.  This allows you to see an image of Kalkan Bay from the last two minutes and browse back over the past 24 to 48 hours at 2 minute intervals.  The browser pictures run from just before dawn to 10pm every day.
  • Live Webcams – Accessed by clicking on Kalkan Webcam Live in the Main Menu on the left.  There are three webcams to choose from.  These show images of Kalkan Bay,  the main street in town, or Kalamar Bay, or the old town, which update every few seconds.  These cameras are always live.
  • See all four webcams on one screen, at our webcam home page (new for June 2010).
  • Webcam Feed – If you have a web site or blog, you can now include a live picture from the Kalkan Bay Webcam for your visitors. Just copy and paste the code provided and hey presto. No technical knowledge required.

If you enjoy the webcams, please tell someone about it and share the fun!
