Kalkan Turkish Local News has six webcams.
The original KTLN webcam was on the mountain side between Bezirgan Road and Kaş Road, overlooking Kalkan Bay, and a bit of Kalamar Bay. We discontinued this camera in May 2012, and redeployed it to the Moonlight Bar, which provides an excellent street view in town. The second webcam, launched in July 2009, is located at the Mavi Bilgisayar office, on the second floor of the old Belediye building, on Mustafa Kocakaya Caddesi. In October 2009, we introduced camera No 3, showing great views of Kalamar Bay. And in June 2010 we switched on our fourth camera, hosted by Goronda, in the heart of the old town. However, on 15th May 2012, we relocated this webcam to the Villa Mahal hotel, to give us a view of Kalkan, from across the bay. Our fifth camera was launched on 30th December 2010, and is hosted by Aubergine restaurant. It gives a great view of the harbour. The sixth webcam is located on the Korsan Fish Terrace, and provides a wonderful view of Kalkan beach and Kalkan Bay. The question of privacy Kalkan Turkish Local News respects your privacy. That is why we have deliberately positioned our web cameras in such a way as to make it difficult, if not impossible, to identify individuals. We don't want to intrude on your personal enjoyment of Kalkan. The images from our webcams are normally over-written on our servers after a few minutes, so we don't keep a history. Temporary outages Our live webcams stream jpeg images from Kalkan to our server here in the UK. Very occasionally there may be temporary breaks in service due to either prolonged power outages or problems with internet connectivity. We do our best to restore images as soon as possible, but some problems may take a while to resolve. Please bear with us. Different ways to access KTLN webcams As registered members of KTLN you have access to our webcams in three ways: - Live Webcams – Accessed by clicking on Kalkan Webcam Live in the Main Menu on the left. There are six webcams to choose from. These show images from the Moonlight Bar, the main street in town, Kalamar Bay, from Villa Mahal, the harbour, and the beach, all of which update every few seconds. These cameras are always live.
- See all six webcams on one screen, at our webcam home page (new for June 2010).
- Webcam Feed – If you have a web site or blog, you can now include a live picture from the Moonlight Bar Webcam for your visitors. Just copy and paste the code provided and hey presto. No technical knowledge required.
Kalkan webcam map Below, we provide a map showing where KTLN has placed webcams. We have two long range shots, from Kalamar Dream villa and from Villa Mahal, in Kışla.
Plus we have four cameras in town, at Mavi Bilgisayar, Moonlight Bar, Korsan Fish Terrace, and Aubergine restaurant.
KTLN has 6 webcams across town, but we also bring you another webcam image from a third party web site, Enjoy Kalkan. It's their camera, not ours, but we are happy to include the image with ours, so that you can see all of them in one place. If you enjoy the webcams, please tell someone about it and share the fun!
