KTLN has received a question asking about the areas of Kalkan, so rather than just replying to the KTLN member who asked the question, we thought it might be useful to let everyone know.

In this article we list the local Kalkan areas and indicate where they are.  Maps have been added for additional clarity.

• Menteşe & Yalıboyu Mahallesı - Kalkan town centre.

• Yat Lımanlı - harbour area.

• Kalamar - the area around Kalamar Bay.

• Ortaalan - a huge area, starting roughly at a point in line with the centre of Kalkan Bay, and west of that point, covering the area above the Kaş Road all round the new area by the school and over towards Kalamar Bay.  In tapu documents, even Kalamar Bay is designated as Ortaalan.

• Kızıltaş - an area between Bezirgan Road and Kaş Road, roughly at a point in line with the centre of Kalkan Bay, and east of that point.
  

• Kördere - going out of Kalkan on Bezirgan Road heading towards Bezirgan village, with stunning high level views over Kalkan Bay.

• Kömürlük - the first development on your right as you leave Kalkan heading towards Kaş, before Kışla.

• Kışla - the next development to the right of Kaş Road, after Komurluk.

• Akbel - heading out of Kalkan on the old road towards Yeşilköy/Islamlar.

• Ulugöl - on Kaş Road from Kişla and towards Bravocassa (formerly Kelebek) furniture shop.
