The most powerful thing about the site is the combination of such useful, informative and educative information about Kalkan (and Turkey) in one web site.  Kalkan News is the first thing I read on KTLN.

Update on Saturday's meeting in Kaş PDF Print E-mail

Last week, KTLN told you about a planned meeting in Kaş, to be held on Saturday 25th September, between foreigners and a senior Turkish politician.  Local government officials are also expected to attend.

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone who is in Kalkan at the moment, to engage with the Turkish authorities at a senior level.

Below, please find details of the transport provided from Kalkan to Kaş, for those who have expressed an interest in attending.

On Saturday, a 30 seater bus will arrive at the Kalkan Otogar at 14:30 and wait there until 14:40.  The coach will have a notice saying "Meeting - Aquapark Hotel" or words to that effect!

It will arrive in Kaş at about 15:15 and will wait on the Marina Road to pick up passengers from the Kas area. It should be positioned near to the entrance to the Highway Department Depot, just before the turn to the Peninsula. The bus will leave there at 15:25 latest to travel to the Aquapark Hotel.

The organisers have suggested that people travelling independently should arrive before 15:40 so that the meeting can start on time.

The Aquapark Hotel is kindly providing the venue free of charge, so the organisers would encourage you to indulge in a tea or coffee and snacks whilst you are there.
