Turkish NavyThe Turkish Navy has been out and about in our region, as it opens up to the public, to celebrate a historic naval battle.

The naval Battle of Preveza took place on 28th September 1538, when the Ottoman fleet defeated an alliance of Christians, assembled by Pope Paul the 3rd.

Last week, some 472 years later, KTLN spotted three naval ships in Kalkan Bay.  See photos below.

And earlier this week, in nearby ports, a number of Naval ships berthed and opened up to the public.
