In August, Kalkan Turkish Local News brought you information about a new minibus service, operating a circular route around town, and some outlying areas of Kalkan.

This dolmuş service appears to be operating quite successfully.

KTLN now brings you some more good news.  We have learned that this service will continue throughout autumn and winter, which is great for residents, and also those people who like to visit Kalkan outside the main tourist season.

Please note however that the operating hours will be reduced over the 'out of season' period, (from November onwards).  When we have more details we will bring them to you.

Introducing this new dolmuş service is something that has benefitted many people.  If you agree with us that this is a service worth keeping, we would suggest that it may be a good idea to write a letter to the Mayor, to tell him what you think - preferably in Turkish, if you can.  

By doing so, you may help to secure the service in future years.
