The site is easy to navigate, has a wealth of information, and is everything I like to see in a website.  Any questions I could have asked, already had clear answers on KTLN.  The webcams were an added bonus.

Bring & Buy Sale to improve play facilities PDF Print E-mail

Update: starting time is now 2pm.

A group of ladies in Kalkan are organising a social gathering, including a bring and buy sale to raise funds to improve the children's play facilities in Kalkan.  There are 5 playgrounds in Kalkan (see the KTLN map for details of their location) and it is hoped that enough funds can be raised to make a difference, by making them more attractive for Kalkan youngsters.

The proposed date for this event is Tuesday 21st April 2009, starting at 3pm.  This is a particularly appropriate time to be raising money for local children as Thursday 23rd April will be Children's Day in Turkey.

Anyone who would like to donate articles to be sold should bring them along between 1pm and 2pm.  Anything of good quality is welcomed, including books, DVDs, household items, clothing, and not forgetting food - cakes, pastries and other culinary delights.

The location for this event, (which is open to everyone, not just ladies), is the area between the Fener Bar and Jasmine Garden Restaurant, not far from Kalkan Beach.  Why not come along and perhaps meet new people, and raise money for a good cause at the same time.
