And that is what the Belediye has done at the communal football pitch behind its offices, in town. We now have a vivid green playing field. But more than that, it's red 'çim', red 'çim', red 'çim', more than that it's red 'çim', round the edge of the pitch. OK - enough of the Star Trekking theme, we just wanted to tell you that the football pitch has been resurfaced. Apparently it's a brilliant surface to play on, and just that bit more forgiving on old, weary legs. You are less likely to injure yourself, with something like a torn achilles on this new surface. Not that anyone would be daft enough to tear their achilles playing on that pitch, would they? Hmm... Below: The new artificial pitch being laid. Below: The green artificial pitch, with white touchlines, and red edging. Still a few finishing touches required.
