I have apartment in Side. I use your site to get a feel of Turkey when I am in the UK. There is nothing like your site in Side.

D400 roadworksThere is no road update this month, because there is not much news to tell you about.

We can confirm that work has started again on the D400 between Kalkan and
Kışla.

As previously reported, there will be work on local roads this winter, including the new dual carriageway down into town from the traffic lights.

So not much road news to report, but we thought you might like to see these photos, captured yesterday, showing a wide load being moved on the D400.

To be honest, it's not the strangest load we have seen on Kalkan's roads.  In fact, given what we have seen on previous occasions (without our camera, unfortunately), we are surprised this load wasn't being moved on a scooter.

If you have seen other odd sights on Turkish roads, and have a photo suitable for publication, drop us a line, and we may be able to share it with KTLN readers.
