I like the recipes, the exchange rates, information about local people, events and anything to do with travelling to Turkey is important. And of course, the webcams.

The aim is to support efforts to provide a number of children with winter coats, clothing and shoes. On sale will be lots of delicious things to eat, including assorted cakes, cookies, jams, marmalade, chutney and mince pies. Also available, will be a variety of Christmas decorations, and gift wrapping material. You may have read quite recently on Kalkan Turkish Local News, that children at the Rehabilitation Centre have received gifts, and are also guaranteed a new pair of shoes in time for winter, however this event aims to spread that kind of support a little wider, to other local children in need. Please go along and support this event if you can. If you can cook, please feel free to make something yummy and donate it to be sold on the day. If you can provide something, please tell the organiser, Ros, by clicking on the following link: Help for Children If you want to support this very worthy cause, but you are not in Kalkan right now, you can still make a donation via KTLN. Any donations received between now and the end of 2010 will be specifically earmarked to go towards winter clothing and shoes for local children. Click here to donate. A separate local news article will be published by the end of November on The KTLN Trust, to bring you up to date with general fundraising and to let you know where your money has been spent. On behalf of the organisers, thank you. KTLN - your window on Kalkan Turkey.Katie-Ellen This article was originally published on Tuesday 23rd November 2010. Share |
