You will find him in his grotto in Parc Kalkan, from 12.00 onwards, where he will be ho ho holding court, and dispensing sweets to any children who would care to pop by. Stalls selling Christmas goodies will be open from 11.00. But just as important, Santa will be collecting children's clothes, so that they can be redirected to local children who could really use them. So if you would like to help by donating some clothing, please feel free to come along and hand it over to Santa, and he will see that it goes to the right place. Previous appeals have already resulted in lots of toys, crayons, pencils and books, so warm children's clothing, (for all ages), would be particularly appreciated. Santa's helpers are the same people who organised the recent fundraising event at The Lounge Bistro. Due to popular demand, the chutney and mince pie production lines have been working overtime, and we understand that you should be able to buy all sorts of tasty fayre on the day. And if that wasn't enough to tempt you, a number of local artists are going to be displaying a selection of their paintings. If you feel like purchasing one, that will also provide funds, to buy more clothing for local children. KTLN has seen some of these paintings and they are outstanding. We have some very talented artists in Kalkan. Before he ensconces himself, and his elf, in his grotto, between 11.30 and 12.00, you will find Santa being driven round town, so look out for him, and give him a wave. It would be really good if you could support this worthy cause. So be good, for goodness sake! KTLN - your window on Kalkan Turkey.Katie-Ellen Article originally published 8th December 2010. Share |

Reminder - article updated - note new time: You better watch out, because on Sunday 19th December, Santa is coming back to his roots - well, Kalkan is pretty close to Patara, isn't it.
