Well, it appears that their councelling has not worked, and they are once again planning to freeze their bits off, on New Year's Day. The fun kicks off at 12 noon. If you would like to take part, you need swimwear, and lashings of goose fat. If you want to watch, you need warm clothing and a steaming latte from Kleo or Fener Bar. If you feel in the mood for dressing up, we believe that there will be a special prize for the swimmer with the best fancy dress. All surviving Looney Dookers will receive a complimentary nip, purely for medicinal reasons. It is hoped that - weather permitting - the Kleo and Fener Bars will be open for those wishing to 'retox'. Either way, please bring some money with you, because the event organisers, Robert Ferguson and John Paton, would like you to part company with a little of it. The beneficiaries will be local Kalkan children, who attend the Rehabilitation Centre. Last year, a total of 1,018.40TL was donated by participants and onlookers. This year, we understand there will be a raffle. If you wish to donate a prize please contact the organiser. Similarly, if you wish to take part, please let Robert or John know as soon as possible. Reminder: If you were in Kalkan on 1st January 2010, you may have witnessed a bunch of crazy people swimming in Kalkan Bay.
