KTLN is the first thing I Google when I open my computer in the morning. It is the best way to catch up with what is happening in Kalkan. How did I manage before it existed?

Kalkan Photography ClubCalling all keen amateur photographers in Kalkan.

Local resident, Devrim Çelebi, is a talented amateur photographer; KTLN has featured some of her images.

She, and a few like minded friends, would like to bring together other keen amateur snappers, who are keen to develop their hobby, in a fun and informal setting.

The idea is to have a group of people, who are happy to meet from time to time, in order to share skills and knowledge, and to take photos.

Meetings may be in Kalkan town, or occasionally may involve a trip to somewhere with interesting scenery - and let's face it, we have so much natural beauty on our doorstep, we will be spoilt for choice.

The group is aimed at amateurs, but if there are any professionals who would like to join in and give us the benefit of their expertise, they are most welcome to come along.

Devrim would like to stress that the Kalkan Photography Club is not a formal association - it's all free, and there is no committee taking minutes - it's simply an ad hoc group of individuals, having fun with photography.

Please note you don't need to be an expert, and you don't need to own a flashy, expensive camera.

The first meeting is at 7pm tomorrow evening, Monday 27th December, at the Lounge Bistro, just off Kalamar Road, (between Chillies and Samira Gardens Hotel).

Everyone is welcome, so feel free to come along. Bring your camera!

By the way, Kalkan Turkish Local News will be adding a new album to our Photo Gallery, that will feature the best photos from the Kalkan Photography Club.  So watch out for some great images in the New Year.
