We thought we would highlight a couple of things going on in Kalkan, on Saturday 15th January.

There is a bring and buy sale next to Cafe Leon, and a tea party at Kalkan First School.

If you get yourselves organised, you may be able to attend both events!

Bring and buy sale at Cafe Leon
Some local residents are organising a bring and buy sale. It's an opportunity for you to dispose of bits and pieces that you no longer have any use for.

At the same time, if you want, you can acquire some new bits and pieces, by buying from other sellers. Think of it like a car boot sale, but without the cars.

Everyone is welcome. The organisers are inviting sellers to make a donation to the Kalkander Association - an organisation that supports worthy causes in Kalkan.

The sale starts at 12 noon on Saturday 15th January, and is expected to be all done by 3pm.  So why not clear out your loft (or depot), raise a bit of cash, and support a worthy cause, all at the same time.

Tea party at Kalkan First School
The Kalkan First School Parents Association is organising a fundraising tea party at the school, this Saturday, starting at 1pm.

The entrance fee is just 5TL, with proceeds going to support school activities.

As well as tea, you will be able to buy other refreshments. We understand that some of the schoolchildren will be providing entertainment.
