Today was an odd combination of wind, rain, and hail, interspersed with occasional bright, sunny spells, and in the evening, thunder storms. Having said that, temperatures are still holding up quite well, for the time of year. The forecast for the coming days is not brilliant. But let's be positive - if we have got lots of rain and hail coming to Kalkan, hopefully they will be getting lots of snow at the Eren Dağ Ski Centre. The weather has been affecting electricity supplies, and internet connections, but mostly any outages have been brief. The photos below, show a few scenes from today. Below: A dark grey hail storm cloud rolls down the mountain from Akbel, and gathering in intensity, crosses Kalamar Bay. Below: Later, the storm has passed and shafts of sunlight illuminate the sea around Mouse and Snake islands.
Below: Later still, more rain falls on a pool in Kızıltaş, whilst the sun makes an effort to peep through the clouds. KTLN - your window on Kalkan Turkey. Katie-Ellen |
