The KTLN Kalkan Survey 2010/2011Kalkan Turkish Local News would like to invite you to take part in our second annual Kalkan survey.

It's aimed at people who visit Kalkan, or who have made Kalkan their home.

We conducted the first survey around this time last year, and 388 KTLN members took part. If you would like to see the results click here: KTLN Kalkan Survey 2009/2010

We are particularly interested to discover whether views of Kalkan have changed over the last 12 months.

Why are you doing this survey?
The purpose of the survey is to gather some basic information about the people who visit or live in Kalkan.

Summarised data will be shared with you, our KTLN readers, and also, importantly, with the Kalkan Belediye, who are keen to find out more about the people who visit the town. We think it is encouraging that they are interested to know what you think.

What will happen as a result of this survey?
Let us be honest about this. This survey is simply a means of gathering information that we think will be both interesting to our readership, and useful to the Belediye.

We wish to make it clear that none of the summary findings will be used to 'demand' things from the Belediye or others, on behalf of those who participate. This is purely an exercise in informing people: it is not a mechanism for promoting change overnight.

What about my privacy?
We guarantee your personal privacy. Individual answers will not be shared with anyone outside the KTLN admin team.

And nobody will be contacting you to sell you anything! You have our word on that.

You will note that in our survey we have avoided asking a number of personal questions, such as those relating to income, marital status, religion, race, gender etc. Further, no individual Kalkan businesses will be identified or mentioned in the published analysis.

Why do it now?
This is a follow up to our first survey. A year ago, we had around 1,600 members. Now we have more than twice that number, so we hope we can get an even bigger response. We believe that the majority of our members have an interest in Kalkan, and its future.

KTLN is in a unique position to provide some value adding analysis that people will find interesting and useful.

Are you asking exactly the same questions as last year?
The survey is almost identical to last year. However, we have acted on your feedback, and tweaked a few things, to improve the survey. By asking the same questions, we will be able to measure any shifts in opinion, over the past 12 months.

When does the survey take place?
Right now.  We are emailing all our members with an invitation to take part.

How do I complete the survey?
Here is a direct link to the survey: SORRY - TOO LATE!  THE SURVEY HAS NOW CLOSED. LINK REMOVED.

You have to be a registered member of KTLN to take part.  If you are not a member, and would like to join about 3,300 other Kalkan fans, please click on the following link: Register with KTLN  It's free.

Members have until midnight (UK time) on Sunday 13th February 2011 to complete the online survey.

How long will it take to complete?
If you would like to take part, the survey should take no more than 15 to 20 minutes of your time. It's all done online, and is very easy to complete.

Who can take part?
The survey is designed for people who have visited Kalkan, or live there. Any KTLN member can take part, however we are really looking for just one response per household.

Feel free to mention this to people who may not already be members of KTLN. They will have to sign up as members to take part.

We regret that we can only provide the questions in English, but Turkish members are welcome to take part.

Of course, this is entirely voluntary, however if you love Kalkan as much as we do, we hope you will give it a go.

When will we see the results?
The resulting analysis will be published in February 2011.

Any questions?
If you have any questions, please get in touch with Kalkan Turkish Local News, by using the Contact Us tab at the top of our website home page, and we will do our best to answer them.
