We are pleased to be able to announce that the British jazz group, Swing Supreme, will be back in Kalkan this year. The group has proved a hit with Kalkan audiences at a number of local restaurants, in previous years. Last year they were unable to come, but organiser Robert Ferguson, has confirmed to KTLN that they will be playing at venues yet to be decided, between 23rd and 28th September 2011. Just thinking about them brings back great memories of warm, summer evenings, relaxing in great surroundings, with delicious food, and listening to some truly wonderful music. As soon as we know the schedule we will let you know. Update: It is with sadness and regret that we must tell you that Swing supreme trombonist and vocalist, Alan Quinn (below right), has died. Alan had been ill for some time with cancer. Alan had played on three tours to Kalkan with the Dixie Delight and then Swing Supreme and was a great favourite with his audiences.
