Lots to look forward to in April PDF Print E-mail

Kalkan beachIt may be a few months away, but if you are planning on coming out to Kalkan soon, there is quite a lot happening in April.

Quite apart from anything Turkish going on, it is of course Easter at the end of April, and that alone will provide some people with a opportunity to take a break.

We flag up below some of the things taking place in April.

15th April - The new Ka
ş Marina is being opened by the Prime Minister of Turkey.

23rd April - National Sovereignty & Children's Day - a public holiday in Turkey.  There will be celebrations in Kalkan.

23rd April - Patara Parliament opening, with an international list of VIPs attending.

29th April - Presidential Cycling Race passes through Kalkan.

Plus, there are a couple of social events taking place.  On 16th April is the Cafe Leon bring and buy sale, and then on 24th April is a KAPSA fundraising event at Kleo Bar.  We expect that the Kalkan boats will be hoisted back into the water some time in April, as well.

In addition to all this, you will probably find that there is still some snow left at the Eren Da
ğ ski centre, just an hour and a half from Kalkan, if you fancy combining a bit of skiing with your time at the coast.

So if you are thinking about an early break in Kalkan, perhaps April will give you plenty to look forward to.
