KTLN is a very useful site indeed & I shall be visiting more often, hopefully daily. I like the fact that the news is up to the minute. I particularly like the webcams. Keep up the good work.

Well, these people were in fact KAPSA members and volunteers, who have been out there looking for un-neutered street animals to whisk away to local vet Ibrahim for neutering. They have been very successful, neutering a total of 19 dogs and 45 cats between mid January and the end of January. Around 10 – 15 people have been involved and will continue their work until the KAPSA neutering budget runs out. As you may be aware, KAPSA relies on fund raising and donations to carry out its important work in reducing the potential number of animals on Kalkan streets and also working with the community to identify sick, hungry or potentially harmful animals. The next fundraising event will be a little different from their usual coffee morning, as they are planning a Spring Fair. This will be held on Easter Sunday the 24th April at the Kleo Bar. Watch out for further details to be published here, on KTLN. However, if you would like to help KAPSA to carry out additional neutering, then you can make a donation specifically for neutering before then. You can find out how to do this on the KAPSA Facebook site or their website www.kapsa.co.uk.You can also see the sort of equipment that KAPSA has purchased via grants from SNIP International, to assist in capturing animals. You may in the last few weeks, have seen people lurking behind hedges and rubbish bins in Kalkan - not quite in camouflage gear, but possibly carrying some "Daktari" type equipment.
