It must be the start of the season.  We saw the crane arrive yesterday to lift the boats back into the water at Kalkan harbour.  The massive lifting gear, which comes all the way from Antalya was working yesterday (Monday) and will complete the job today.

It's not cheap being given a lift by this monster, and the boatmen of Kalkan have been considering having their own permanent lifting gear to get them in and out of the water, similar to the one they have in Kaş.  However, it's not clear whether this will go ahead.

Seeing the boats up close before they went back into the water, you can see that they have been lovingly restored over the winter and are looking their best.

All they need now is you, so hurry back, and book yourself a trip.
