Petra, Eva and Kerstin are organising their Carnival in Kalkan, at Aubergine restaurant. It is an opportunity to come along in fancy dress, have a dance, and generally have fun. The event is based on the German 'fasching time' (a carnival), but there is no street parade - just a party. The whole point of the evening is to come along in fancy dress, so get your thinking caps on and decide who you would like to be, for the evening. Or maybe you just want to come along as you, but dressed up to the nines!
Plus there will be a traditional German sweet on offer - Kreppel (also known as Berliner) - it's a bit like a doughnut. The music will be similar to that played on New Year's Eve, and will hopefully get people in the party mood. A space for dancing will be created indoors, unless we get a really warm evening, in which case the dancing will be outside. If you intend to come along, please make a reservation with Aubergine restaurant, so they can make the right amount of sangria! It would also be useful to let them know if you intend to eat. On a general note, Kalkan Turkish Local News is happy to publicise parties, trips and events, taking place in and around Kalkan, which are open to the public. Why not drop us a line if you are organising something. KTLN - your window on Kalkan Turkey.Katie-Ellen |
