What made me sign up to KTLN?  It's a good source of information/news and I always point clients to it as another reference point, on top of all the information we give them.  So well done.

Kalkan music groupKTLN regulars will be aware that Kalkan twinned with Italian town of Cupramontana last year.

They will also know that thanks to the efforts of
Sadık Öğretir, Kalkan has a talented group of musical children, who sing and play the accordion.

We bring you news, which combines those two things.

A trip has been arranged, under the cultural umbrella of the twinning accord, that will see Mr & Mrs Baffetti, directors of the Baffetti Accordions company, in Italy, visiting Kalkan.

They took the decision to personally deliver two new accordions, ordered by the music group, having heard how keen the local children are, on playing this instrument.

Below: A photo of one of the accordions on its way to Kalkan.

Mr & Mrs Baffetti arrive in Kalkan on the evening of Friday 25th February, and will take in a little sight-seeing, before leaving on Sunday. The ruins at Patara are on the tour itinery, and they will also sample the local cuisine, whilst in Kalkan.

On Saturday 26th February, at 11am, the children will give a brief concert at the Vak
ıf building (opposite Adda supermarket), and it is understood the Mayor will be there.

Members of the public are very welcome to attend. There is no charge.
