It was Robert Burns who said in his poem, To a Mouse, "The best laid schemes of mice and men, go often askew".

Sadly, KTLN must inform you that for a variety of reasons, plans for a few local events have gone askew.

Bring & Buy Sale
Due to anticipated inclement weather, the bring and buy sale at Cafe Leon, which was scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday 26th February), has been pushed back to the following Saturday, 5th March.

Camel Wrestling in
Çayköy
Don't get the hump, but we regret to inform any camel wrestling fans that the planned event for this Sunday, 27th February, has been cancelled.

Official opening of the Lycian Parliament building in Patara
We have heard from a reliable source that the much anticipated official opening of the renovated Lycian Parliament building in Patara, has been postponed. We are currently seeking confirmation from others, but our source is well placed to know about this decision.

The opening ceremony was due to take place on National Sovereignty & Children's Day, on 23rd April, however, KTLN understands that the renovation work has not progressed enough for them to be able to finish in time.

The next suitable date in the calendar may be Republic Day, on 29th October. KTLN will keep you posted.
