I always thought there was a need for a website that would convey all the current news, and local information in English to expats, as well as tourists visiting Kalkan, and I think you do it very well.

ShareAccordion concert Sadık Öğretir, and the children of the Kalkan accordion music group put on a great show for two special guests from Kalkan's twin town, Cupramontana.

Mr & Mrs Baffetti, directors of the Baffetti Accordions company, in Italy, made a trip to Kalkan, to personally deliver two new accordions, ordered by the music group.

On Saturday 26th February, at just after 11am, the children performed a concert, in their honour, at the Vak
ıf building.

There was also traditional dancing accompanied by the Turkish string instrument, the saz.

The Vak
ıf building was packed with proud parents and supporters. Kalkan Mayor, Saim Karakurt was also there, with his wife. The Belediye provided tea, and after the performances, gözleme and ayran.

Here are some photos from the day.
