Strictly speaking, this is not Local News, however we want to draw your attention to a great article on Istanbul written by a KTLN member.

Dr Okan Tansu is an Assistant Professor at Istanbul Bilgi University, and one of the people behind the new Parc Kalkan 'bon marche'.  Whilst Okan works in Istanbul he has a passion for this part of the world, and he and his wife Şenay have a retreat in Islamlar, which they visit as often as possible.

We asked Okan to give us an insight into Istanbul and what he would recommend to anyone planning a trip there.
