Share .jpg) In last month's Belediye Board report, from KTLN, you may recall that we said the new Belediye meeting room would make an ideal mini-cinema. Well, guess what? For the very first time, the Belediye is showing a film. Tomorrow, Saturday 2nd April 2011, at 14.00, they are showing a comedy film called "Eyvah Eyvah 2", which translates as "Oh Dear, Oh Dear 2". Naturally, the film is in Turkish, and alas, there are no English sub-titles. But if you want to brush up on your Turkish, why not go along. Entrance is free.
KTLN has asked if they can show a Turkish film called Beyaz Bisiklet (White Bicycle), which was filmed on location in Kalkan, in 1986. It's a story of summer love, and shows Kalkan at a time when it was a quiet village, with just a few pansiyons. Definitely worth watching. We are delighted that this conference room is being used as a small cinema, and we believe that film shows will become a regular occurrence.
