If you have not experienced a performance at Aspendos, KTLN would highly recommend it. The schedule is shown below. We are aware that local tour operator, Volume Travel is organising trips. Check with other local companies to see if they are also going.The 2011 programme Thursday 9 June 2011 Performances tend to start at 21.00, but you should check for the performance you are interested in. The venue The antique theatre at Aspendos is a formidable 20,000 capacity stone construction, built almost 2,000 years ago by the Romans. It was renovated by the Ottomans about 800 years ago. It's a perfect venue for an opera, with excellent acoustics. But be aware that you should take cushions with you, as the stone seats are hard.
