Many KTLN readers are keen to know how Sue Broadbent, (aka Sunshine Sue), is doing, following her recent road traffic accident.

The good news is that she is making progress, on her long road to recovery.

Sue remains in Esnaf hospital, where she continues to amaze staff with her good cheer, strength and determination.

As her stay is likely to continue for several days to come, the nurses have today moved her to a room with a sea view.

Sue told KTLN that she has a carrier bag full of get well cards, and she is grateful for all the messages of love and support she has received.

She has had a small number of visitors, but at the moment, this is all Sue can cope with, so if you are thinking of visiting, it may be an idea to check before you go.

One piece of good news that we were able to share with Sue today, was the successful outcome of the Bring & Buy sale, in Kalamar, organised by Marilyn Green.

In a little over 4 hours, a sum of 3,100TL was raised, all of which will be used to help Sue with her rehabilitation.

This evening, Sue told us, "I want to thank everyone for their amazing generosity today, especially to Marilyn and Clive, for creating and hosting the event, which I hope was a great Kalkan bash".

"It's hard to express how moved I am", she continued, "Even for Kalkan, this outpouring of support is exceptional.  Thank you all so much".

Through KTLN, Marilyn would like to say a big thank you to everyone who donated items, gave hands on help, and who turned up to buy things.

The KTLN team would like to add that Marilyn herself, put a significant amount of time and effort into organising this fundraising event, and she can be rightly proud of what has been achieved.
