Kalkan Turkish Local News can exclusively report that the arrangements for Kalkan Jazz Week have been confirmed for 2009.  This year the band will be Swing Supreme with leader Peter Fenton and three of last year's band.  The music style will be Jazz and Swing.

The tour begins on Tuesday 15th September and ends on Sunday 20th September. Here are the details:

• Thurs 17 September Hotel Villa Mahal Beach Club 8.00 - 11.00 pm - Courtesy boat from harbour.  Tel: 0242 844 3268
• Fri 18 September Belediye Open Air Concert 8.30 - 10.30 pm at the Belediye Beach Cafe (Pinar Büfe).  Free admission, but with collection boxes for voluntary donations.
• Sat 19 September Merkez Cafe 12.30 - 2.30 pm
• Sat 19 September Indigo Beach Club 8.00 - 11.00 pm.  Tel: 0242 844 2112

This is a popular event in Kalkan, and we suggest that you book your place early to avoid disappointment.  You don't need to book for the shows at Merkez Cafe.
