Fantastic. It ıs so comprehensıve for local and national news, full of interesting articles, and has great links: a sort of one-stop-sıte for an english-speaking resıdent. And the layout is terrific.

The Royal Wedding

A number of British people in Kalkan, celebrated the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton yesterday.

The happy event coincided with Stage 6 of the Presidential Cycling Tour, as it passed through Kalkan.

However, for many Brits, the pomp and circumstance of this historic event, was a bigger pull than the chance to grab a fleeting glimpse of scores of cyclists in Lycra.

We noticed that quite a few people were waving the Union Jack flag, and many had dressed for the occasion.

There were no street parties, but we know that a few bars and restaurants were showing the wedding live on TV, and this seemed to attract a number of Royal revellers.

Here are a few photos from Parc Kalkan and Cafe Leon, where celebrations were in evidence.
