This Thursday saw another classic friendly international, between Turkey and England.

The youth and skill of the Young Turks from The Lounge Bar, were up against the experience and physical presence of the Kalkan Old Boys.

A large crowd turned out on a brilliant, sunny day, to cheer on the teams. See our photos from the day, below.

It was end to end stuff, and was all square at 3 - 3, by half time, thanks in no small part to Trevor 'The Cat' Clark, who pulled off a string of acrobatic saves.

Most players looked to be enjoying themselves, although there was the occasional tackle that came into the 'over-excited' category.

Still, it was all smiles and handshakes at the end of the match, with a scoreline of Turkey 10 - England 7.

Then back to The Lounge Bar for post match analysis, accompanied by food and drink.  The ever ready Kalkan Line Dancers were there to strut their stuff, and it was also great to see Sue Broadbent back amongst us, after her spell in hospital.

And to top off a terrific day, the organisers, Jim and Steve, managed to raise a magnificent amount of money - 1,520TL, which will help local children at Kalkan's First School.

Well done to Jim, Steve, referee Ian Hamilton, and the rest of the players for putting on a great day for everyone.  Looking forward to the next one.
