Water news:  Some people in Kalkan have reported that their water supplies have dried up today.

KTLN has learned the reason.  It's because we are helping out our neighbours in Kaş.

Apparently, their main supply from Gömbe is not working properly, and overnight, Kalkan has been switching water to help them out.

Diverting the water overnight has led to low pressure in some Kalkan water pipes, which in some cases is resulting in no water coming out of the taps.

The Belediye can't say exactly how long this situation will last, but everything is expected to return to normal shortly.

Of course, it is absolutely right to help out a neighbour in need. 

We must remember to find out if the Kalkan Belediye has ever asked Kaş to divert water to Kalkan, to alleviate the problems when we have experienced water cuts.
