Water news: After working so hard at Saklıkent, to get water supplies restored, we hear that there is a further small problem, which has meant briefly turning off the pumps.

This morning, (Thursday), a worker was dispatched to Fethiye to pick up the replacement part required, and work is now underway to fit it.

The best estimate we have, is that the pumps will be switched back on later this afternoon.

Given that the water pipes are relatively full, we are told it should not take long for water to begin flowing again.

Kalkan hotels have back up supplies, and property owners with a water reserve tank have probably seen their tanks fill up over recent days, so they should be able to ride out this temporary cut.  

Our sympathies go out to those in villas and apartments without any reserve tanks.  May you soon have your water restored.
