The strikers are protesting about new austerity measures being brought in by the government, to address the country's economic crisis. Some ports of entry are affected by the strike, but we are informed that travel to the Greek islands of Meis and Rhodes, is unaffected. Workers in Greece began a 48 hour strike this morning (Tuesday).
