I always thought there was a need for a website that would convey all the current news, and local information in English to expats, as well as tourists visiting Kalkan, and I think you do it very well.

KabotajThe Kalkan sun shone down on the many people who gathered by the beach for Friday's Festival of the Sea.

Sadly, your reporter was confined to quarters with a pesky 24 hour bug, (all fine now), so this report is not as detailed as I would have liked.

However, thanks to friends, I can bring you some photos from the day.  Enjoy!

Events included swimming races, sea-kayaking, displays of paragliding, waterskiing and jet-skiing, the 'grab the flag from the end of the oily pole' competition, chase the duck, and the boat race.
