There must have been around 100 ladies plus their children gathered at the Can Bilardo Cafe on Bezirgan Road to celebrate the day in their honour. There was lots of tasty Turkish cuisine in evidence, which your reporter felt obliged to sample, in the interests of objective journalistic research. (The things I have to do on your behalf). Plus there was live music to entertain the mums and their little ones. This celebration was organised by Nuray Dağdeviren, Ayşe Yanar, Demet Özbaykal, Hatice Karakurt, Nesrin Önal, Züleyha Arıkan and Gülşen Ay. Here are a few photos from the day.

Mother's Day was celebrated throughout Turkey on Sunday 10th May. However, due to prior commitments, the mothers of Kalkan had to postpone their Mother's Day party until yesterday, Wednesday 13th May.
