It goes without saying, that most KTLN readers love Kalkan. 

But from time to time our thoughts may turn to exploring a little further afield.  Turkey has so much to offer.

If your wanderlust is urging you to get off the beaten track, then you may wish to consider a motor-home holiday.

Travelling at your own pace in a motor-home, is a great way to discover the real Turkey.

We spotted an article on the Hurriyet Daily News web site, about a company called Casavan - one of the few companies offering motor-homes for rent.

They have offices in Istanbul and Antalya, and provide vehicles suitable for groups of up to 6 travellers.

The Casavan web site has full details of the vehicles available, and the daily cost.  There is a minimum rental period of one week.

To give an example, for a 6 berth motor-home, one week in November would cost you 840 euros, which includes all taxes, fees and insurance.  For a smaller 3 berth motor-home, the cost for one week in November would be 560 euros.

If living out of a motor-home is not your thing, you can always hire from a Kalkan car hire company, and find local B&B or hotel accommodation.
