The rules stipulate how long these businesses can stay open at night, and also the time at which they need to turn the music off. Restaurants with and without drinks (alcohol), clubs and associations should not play music after midnight, and they must close by 2 am.Coffee and tea houses (kahvehane and çayhane) and internet cafes and similar places must close by midnight. Cafe-bars, bars, discos, pubs and similar places should turn down their music at 1 am, so that it cannot be heard outside, and they must close by 4 am. These rules come into force on Monday 18th May 2009. Failure to comply may result in a fine. Share |
