One factor that we could not really comment on is the cost of flights, because frankly, there appears to be no logic to the cost of tickets. So we thought we would ask you, the KTLN readers, to tell us exactly how much it costs to fly to Turkey, from Europe. In our latest poll, we would like you to tell us what it cost you, per person, for a return flight, the last time you visited Turkey. Who can take part in the poll? People who have booked a return flight from a place in Europe (e.g. the UK), to any Turkish airport, may vote. People who have booked a return flight from any Turkish airport, to a place in Europe (e.g. the UK), may vote. (Ex-pats, for example). The majority of KTLN readers come from the UK to Kalkan, via Dalaman airport, but you can still vote if you are coming from another European country, or if you are travelling to another Turkish resort. If you bought a package holiday to Turkey, you probably won't be able to take part, as it is unlikely that you will know the specific cost of your flight. How is 'cost' defined? If your flight cost included any extraordinary items, and you are able to strip that cost out, please do so. For example, if you decided to bring out 5 extra suitcases full of stuff. Some people do. You know who you are! We are just looking at the cost of the flight - please don't include the cost of airport transfers. If you have booked your 2011 flight, but not travelled yet, it's OK to use this in our poll. We are trying to find out the latest costs. Using this information Clearly, we are expecting to see some variations, particularly bearing in mind the increases typically seen in the school holidays. The overall spectrum of prices will be interesting to see. Do you always grab a bargain? All contributions will be read, and may end up being included in the forthcoming 'KTLN Kalkan guide to cheap travel'. Watch out for it! Here are your voting options in this KTLN poll.
Thanks for taking part. We look forward to seeing the results, towards the end of September.

We recently wrote an article saying that Kalkan is better value than ever, due to a great exchange rate that gives more lira for your pound.
