On Friday 16th September you can hear music from Turkish composer Ahmed Adnan Saygun, and Shostakovich, played by the Mersin University String Quartet. And on Saturday 17th September, the orchestra will be playing pieces from several composers, including Vivaldi and Tchaikovsky. The conductor is Burak Tüzün and the soloist on flute is Halit Turgay. Performances start at 21.30. There is no need to book - just turn up. The concerts are free. You may wish to take a cushion to sit on!
