As an owner of a property in Kalkan, this site seemed an excellent way of keeping in touch, especially as for much of the year I am not able to be out there.

On Monday 26th September, starting at 19.00, acclaimed soprano Dragana Moles, and her husband, accomplished pianist Daniele Moles, will give a concert with a difference. They will perform on board the Kalkan Regency's Poseidon boat, which will be moored in Kalkan harbour. The sound will be amplified, so that everyone in the vicinity of the harbour can hear.
You can sit in your favourite restaurant, or there will be seating provided on the far side of the harbour. The breakwater would also make a great viewing point. The programme includes a number of well known arias and Italian folk songs. The Kalkan children's accordion group will also perform a few numbers from their repertoire, including traditional Turkish songs. The main concert is a cultural gift from the Mayor of Cupramontana, to the people of Kalkan. It should be a great evening, and we will certainly be there to enjoy this concert with a difference. Concerts like this don't come along that often, so why not go along. It's free. Below: Soprano Dragana Moles, and her husband, accomplished pianist Daniele Moles.

Within the framework of the Kalkan/Cupramontana twinning project, two accomplished classical music artists from Italy, will perform an open air concert in Kalkan, next week.
The organisers are asking harbour-side restaurants not to play music, so that everyone in the area can enjoy the live performances.
