Last Sunday, KAPSA held their end of season coffee morning at Kleo Bar and Seaport Restaurant.

This has become a regular and popular event in the Kalkan calendar, where funds are raised to support KAPSA's work with street animals.

On this occasion they made 12,511 TL, through the sale of all sorts of goods - clothes, accessories, jewellery, books, DVDs and bric a brac, plus a raffle and tombola, with scores of great prizes.

This gives a total of over 24,000 TL from fund raising days in 2011, which is a significant amount of money, and up by about 55% on what they raised from their fundraisers in 2010.

The organisers would like to thank everyone who gave items to be sold, businesses who donated prizes, and to the many people who came out on a sunny Kalkan day to spend their money.

People give KAPSA a huge amount of clothing, and on this occasion KAPSA decided to donate a proportion of these clothes to the Van earthquake appeal.  Some clothes were also given to needy individuals in the Kalkan area.
