KTLN has teamed up with scheduled leisure airline Monarch, to offer one lucky reader the chance to win a pair of return flights between the UK and Dalaman!

On the 8th October, we launched our free to enter, fun competition.  The closing date for entries was Sunday 6th November.

We had 275 correct answers to our competition question.

We told you that Monarch flights are protected by the Air Travel Organisers' Licensing scheme (ATOL).  We asked you to tell us what their unique ATOL number is, by choosing from the following options.

• A: ATOL number 2275
• B: ATOL number 2572
• C: ATOL number 2725

We even provided you with a link to their web site, which gave you the answer - A: ATOL number 2275.

The independent draw
On Monday 7th November, we joined Mayor Saim Karakurt at the Belediye, where he was celebrating Kurban Bayram with lots of Kalkan people, and we asked him to pick a winner, at random, from the 275 correct entries.

We are happy to announce that the winner of our competition is Brian Pennington, who lives in West Yorkshire. 

Brian gets two return tickets with Monarch, flying from a UK airport to Dalaman airport, to be used before 31st October 2012.

About the winner
Brian is an IT manager at the University of Leeds.  He and his wife Pauline, have taken several holidays along Turkey's Aegean and Mediterranean coasts.  About 3 years ago they discovered Kalkan, staying at the Xanthos hotel, and guess what - they fell in love with the place!

So much so in fact, that earlier this year they bought their own villa in the Kızıltaş area of Kalkan.  They plan to spend more time here in future.

We spoke to Brian on the phone last night, to tell him the good news.  It came as a pleasant surprise.  "Crikey!", he said, "I've never won anything before in my life.  That's brilliant".

In between visits, Brian admits that he and his wife are hooked on KTLN - especially the web cams, which remind them of what they are missing.  He told us, "I'm pretty much addicted to KTLN to be honest.  I'm on it every day".

Just as well you were Brian, because now you and your wife have a free trip to Kalkan, to look forward to.
