As an owner of a property in Kalkan, this site seemed an excellent way of keeping in touch, especially as for much of the year I am not able to be out there.

Pegasus AirlinesPegasus Airlines have got some really cheap domestic flights on offer.

If you book on 15th, 16th or 17th November, for a flight in March, April or May 2012, you can grab a bargain.

There are lots of flights to choose from, but perhaps most interesting to Kalkan residents, are cheap flights from Dalaman to Istanbul.

Please note that they go to the Sabiha Gökçen airport on the Asian side, rather than to the Atatürk Airport, on the European side.

As you may expect, the cheaper flights are at the least convenient times.

You can fly from Dalaman to Istanbul, return, for under 64 TL (about £23), including airport taxes.  This is a late arrival in Istanbul and an early departure, coming back to Dalaman.

Alternatively, a return flight with Pegasus, with an early arrival in Istanbul and later departure on the return journey, is about 105 TL (about £37), including airport taxes.

By way of a comparison, flying at reasonable times with Turkish Airlines from Dalaman to Atatürk airport, (which is closer to the Sultan Ahmet district of Istanbul), will cost you 178 TL (about £64), including airport taxes.
