The most powerful thing about the site is the combination of such useful, informative and educative information about Kalkan (and Turkey) in one web site.  Kalkan News is the first thing I read on KTLN.

Chris & Joules, with AbdurahmanOn Saturday 29th October (Republic Day), Chris Davies and Joules Garrod swam from Mouse Island to Kalkan beach.

What started as a personal challenge, ended up as a fantastic fundraising event, to help local man Abdurahman Genç, who needs a new artificial leg.

In this report, we update you on the fundraising, and introduce you to Abdurahman and his family.

First, the good news.  The amount of money received/pledged so far, totals just over 6,000 TL.  The target is 7,000 TL, so they are well on their way to reaching it.

We would like to point you in the direction of a blog written by Chris, in which he describes the day that he and Joules met Abdurahman and his family, for the first time.  Here is the link: An Englishman Abroad

As you will see, Chris and Joules are making a final appeal, to try and reach the target by the end of November.

If you wish to make a donation via The KTLN Trust, anything received up to the end of November, will be passed on to the appeal.
