Thomas Cook GroupThe Thomas Cook Group, which provides holidays and flights to Turkey, is in the headlines.

The company has announced that as a result of deterioration of trading in some areas of its business, and of its cash and liquidity position since its year end, it is in discussions with its principal lending banks.

These discussions relate to the group's banking facilities during the seasonal low period.  Thomas Cook will seek changes that will improve its resilience if trading conditions remain difficult.

As a result, the Company is delaying the announcement of its full year results, until these discussions are concluded.  Read the full announcement here.

Shareholder sentiment over recent months, has seen the company's share price drop significantly, from over £2 in January 2011, to a current price of less than 15 pence.  (As this article is published).
