In light of the storms experienced last winter, (see an earlier KTLN report), when water crashed over the harbour wall, the breakwater is being reinforced. Additional huge rocks have been deposited at the far end of the outer wall, close to the red warning light. See our photos below. After the bad storms experienced in December 2010, the Belediye approached the government department responsible for harbour defences, and asked for the work to be done. Hopefully, everything will be completed before the weather turns.
