Places to eat and drink in Kalkan - an update PDF Print E-mail

Yalıhan complexA quick report on a few changes, to places that you can eat and drink in Kalkan.

This is a follow up to our KTLN Guide to What's Open out of Season, which has also been updated recently.

There have been a few movers and shakers over recent weeks.

La Sera - Kalamar Road
Cenk, from Parc Kalkan, is now running a second place - La Sera, down Kalamar Road.  It serves food and drinks, and also has a dance floor, which appears to be quite popular with the more mature groover.

Friday night is dancing (disco) night, whilst Saturday evening is the time for Turkish music, (recorded, not live), and Sunday is music on demand, where you can ask the DJ to play your favourite tune.

Öz Adana & the new Adana
Öz Odana has relocated to the spot where Luka restaurant used to be - up by the D400 junction. They have kept their phone number.

The place where Öz Adana moved from, round the corner from Teskom supermarket, is now a new pide house called Adana, (without the Öz).  Don't get confused!

Yalı Lounge & Cafe takes over from the Çınar Bar
Up at the Yalıhan complex, the Çınar Bar has metamorphosed into the Yalı Lounge & Cafe.  Tekin, who used to run Çınar, is putting his feet up for a while, before considering his next business venture.

Meanwhile, Hakan, from the Kalkan Sports Club, is the man heading up the new Yalı Lounge & Cafe, where they will be showing all kinds of sports TV.

Incidentally, Tekin tells us that the pool table that used to be at the Çınar Bar is for sale.  Buyer collects.  If you are interested let us know, or you can contact Tekin direct.
