Flights will land daily into Gatwick from Istanbul at 12.50, and will depart from Gatwick’s North Terminal at 13.55, arriving into Istanbul at 19.45. Turkish Airlines will operate the Airbus 321-200, which flies 195 passengers in a typical two-class cabin layout. Guy Stephenson, Gatwick Airport’s Chief Commercial Officer said: “We are pleased that Turkish Airlines has chosen to operate a daily service to Istanbul from Gatwick this Winter. Passengers will not only be able to enjoy the rich history of this magical city, but also connect onto Turkish Airlines’ extensive global network and visit countries in the Middle and Far East". This is also good news for people travelling to and from Kalkan, especially out of season, when direct flights between UK and Dalaman are few and far between. It provides a bit more choice.
