Some local people are keen to have a history centre in Kalkan.

In the December 2011 KTLN poll, you gave a clear signal that you would visit such a facility, if we had one.

Over 150 KTLN members voted, and we give the results below.

• Those who will definitely visit and pay 70%
• Those who will definitely visit if free 14%
• Those who will probably visit and pay 10%
• Those who will probably visit if free 4%
• That leaves just 2% who are not sure, or who will not visit.

If this sample is representative, 8 out of 10 people would be inclined to visit a Kalkan history centre, even if there was a charge. 

We are not surprised by the results.  Kalkan, and the surrounding areas have a fascinating history, with some interesting tales to tell.

We will pass the results on to the Belediye and also locals who are keen on developing such a facility.
