I continue to be very impressed with KTLN - not only for its content, but also they way it is very informative but shows discretion in the way it reports, but is very clear in its content. Well done and thank you.

It was the morning after the night before. And what a great night it was - despite the odd burst of torrential rain. In fact there was so much rain on New Year's Eve that there was none left on New Year's Day, which was a blessing for the 40 or so 'dookers' taking to the sea. The Looney Dook - now established as a regular feature in the Kalkan calendar, was once again well attended. Scores of people turned out to cheer on the swimmers, many of whom took part in fancy dress.Following the swim, people gathered at the Kleo Bar, for an hour or two of convivial merry-making. An excellent way to start 2012. There was a raffle, which when combined with entrance fees paid by the swimmers, raised a magnificent 1,500 TL. The organiser, Robert Ferguson hopes to meet with the Mayor soon to talk about where this money can be used, to do some good. Robert wishes to thank everyone who took part, especially the ones who came along in fancy dress. He would also like to thank anyone who donated prizes for the raffle and the many people who bought tickets on the day. And a special thank you to Durali for looking after everyone at the Kleo Bar. On behalf of everyone who enjoyed the event, KTLN would like to say thank you, and well done to Robert and his team, for organising such a splendid day. Make a note in your diary for 1st January 2013! Here are a few photos from the day. We hope you like them. Below: Left to right, John Paton, Robert Ferguson and Doris Day.
